At UK AWARE, we realise that the next generation of designers and engineers will be the ones given the task of combating climate change. As part of LONDON AWARE 08, students across the country are invited to enter their environmentally friendly designs into our first 'Eco-Innovation Award'.
This brand new award hosted in association with People & Planet; aims to highlight and support new talent in the field of eco innovation. It also, more broadly, hopes to encourage young people and student's enthusiasm for greener living.
The award will unearth the UK's future designers and engineers and offer them an opportunity to showcase their talents at LONDON AWARE 08.
Award entries will be judged by our expert panel that includes Charlie Browne from IKEA, Martin Charter from the Centre for Sustainable Design and Rob Holdway from Channel 4's 'Dumped'.
The six designs short listed by our panel will have their own exhibition space at LONDON AWARE 08 and the winners will be presented with their award by Trevor Baylis OBE, the designer of the Wind up Radio.
